A founding partner at ARHM&F and former practice group leader of the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group for an AmLaw 20 national law firm, Wilfredo ("Fred") Rodriguez brings extensive litigation, trial and arbitration experience to the firm. Mr. Rodriguez regularly represents domestic and international clients in disputes relating to contractual matters, business torts and fraud cases, banking and other financial institutions, franchise and management agreements in the hospitality and other industries, corporate and partnership dissolutions, unfair competition, fraudulent transfers, intellectual property and real estate related actions.
With over 25 years of litigation experience, Mr. Rodriguez has defended and prosecuted a wide variety of complex domestic and international business disputes in the state and federal courts in the United States. He has also acted as lead counsel in numerous arbitrations and mediations conducted in theUnited States and in various foreign jurisdictions under the rules of the ICC, ICDR, IACAC, AAA and UNCITRAL. He is also experienced in other international arbitration related matters such as pre-arbitration interim and conservatory measures and post-arbitration award recognition, annulment, enforcement and collection actions. Mr. Rodriguez earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration, with a focus on finance, from Florida International University. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was an editor for the University of Miami International Law Review.
Mr. Rodriguez is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Florida, the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is an active member of several local, national and international bar associations including The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, International Bar Association, and the Inter-American Bar Association. Mr. Rodriguez also lectures on the subject of international litigation and arbitration at conferences and seminars sponsored by The American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, The International Chamber of Commerce and The International Center for Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Rodriguez is distinguished as a leader in the field of international litigation and arbitration and holds many accolades in various publications, including The Best Lawyers in America; Chambers & Partners Global; Chambers & Partners USA; The International Who's Who of Commercial Litigation Lawyers; Madison's Who's Who; Florida Trend's Legal Elite and the South Florida Legal Guide of "Top Lawyers." Mr. Rodriguez also holds the highest rating assigned by Martindale-Hubbell for his profession.
