AVILA RODRIGUEZ HERNANDEZ MENA & FERRI LLP EXPANDS ITS CORPORATE AND LITIGATION PRACTICES WITH ADDITION OF TWO NEW PARTNERS AND TWO ASSOCIATES

MIAMI, FL – February 13, 2008 – Avila Rodríguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (ARHM&F) announced today that Asnardo Garro has been named a partner in the firm's Corporate & Financial Services group and Maggie Barreto-Tercilla has joined the firm as partner, also in its Corporate & Financial Services group.In addition, Marian Ancheta and Martha R. Mora have joined ARHM&F as associates in the firm's Corporate & Financial Services and Litigation & Arbitration practices, respectively.

Asnardo Garro brings a specialized focus in general corporate, lending and banking law to the ARHM&F's growing Corporate & Financial Services practice. He represents established corporate and financial services clients, as well as startup companies, in a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters and regularly counsels clients in connection with complex domestic and foreign lending transactions, asset sales, mergers and acquisitions, and other cross-border and domestic transactions.

Garro's extensive background encompasses counseling domestic and foreign corporate clients in: general corporate matters including incorporation, shareholder relationship structures and dissolution or sales matters; regulatory issues that apply to various industries; and day-to-day business operations.

Maggie Barreto-Tercilla brings over 18 years experience in representing banks, developers, construction companies, landlords and tenants in a variety of real estate transactions. Prior to joining ARHM&F, Barreto-Tercilla was Associate General Counsel for Florida International University and handled real estate development, construction, leasing and finance matters for the institution. She has represented clients including Marriott International, Citicorp, Bank of American and SunTrust Bank in acquisition, construction, development and financing matters. Barreto-Tercillo enhances the firm's Corporate & Financial Services practice with an expertise in financing, including conventional mortgage loans, refinancings, loan assumptions, mezzanine and equity financing, complex loan structuring, multi-state financing and workouts.

Barreto-Tercillo is a graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude. She earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Columbia University. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, the Cuban-American Bar Association and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.

Marian Ancheta joined Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri's Corporate & Financial Services practice as an associate focusing on the areas of taxation, banking and corporate law. Ancheta's practice includes U.S. and international tax planning, including foreign investment in the United States, domestic and international estate planning, and taxation issues involving corporate reorganizations, partnerships, and S-corporations. She also has experience advising clients in lending transactions, and in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.

Ancheta earned her bachelor's degree, cum laude, in criminology in from the University of Miami, a Master of Law degree in Taxation from New York University and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. She is a member of the Florida Bar's Tax and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law section and the Cuban-American Bar Association.

Martha R. Mora joined ARHM&F as an associate in its Litigation & Arbitration group. Her experience includes federal and state court litigation, including contractual disputes, fraud, banking litigation and creditors' rights, products liability, RICO, class action litigation and appeals. Prior to entering private practice, Mora served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court.

Mora earned her B.A. cum laude from the University of Miami and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association and the Cuban-American Bar Association.
