A partner at ARHM&F, Asnardo Garro brings a specialized focus to the firm's corporate and financial services group, particularly in general corporate, lending and banking law. He represents start-up companies, as well as established corporate and financial services clients with a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters.
Mr. Garro regularly counsels clients in connection with complex domestic and foreign lending transactions, asset sales, mergers and acquisitions, and other cross-border and domestic transactions. He assists foreign clients in establishing a presence in the United States, as well as managing relationships with domestic corporations. Additionally, Mr. Garro advises domestic clients in exploring a presence abroad. His lending practice involves the representation of both lenders and borrowers in asset based lending transactions.
Constituting an extensive background, Mr. Garro has represented corporations in various financial, industrial, service based and professional industries. He counsels corporate clients in general corporate matters, including incorporation related issues, shareholder relationship structures, dissolution or sale related matters, and other legal issues that arise in their day to day business operations and also helps his corporate clients analyze and navigate the regulatory frameworks that apply to their particular industries.
Mr. Garro works with financial institution clients, including domestic and foreign banks, money transmitters, stored value card issuers and check cashers. His particular expertise is with respect to licensure requirements, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, U.S.A. Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation E and the Rules and Regulations of the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).
Mr. Garro earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and went on to earn a Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While at the University of Florida, he was a member of the Florida Law Review and participated in the Spanish American Law Students Association.
As a member of The Florida Bar, Mr. Garro is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida. He is fluent in verbal and written Spanish and is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association and the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA). He also chaired the Miami Do the Write Thing writing program aimed at ending teen violence.
